Alzheimer's prevention is one of my top priorities and I want people to know that you can do SO much to prevent this disease and many other chronic illnesses as well. My book Two Little F Words is filled with amazing gluten free and No refined sugar recipes but not only that, the first couple of chapters teach you about TRE (time restricted eating), the detrimental effects of refined carbohydrates and I share my personal story with caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease.
Gut healing is one of the essential pillars when you are wanting to live optimally and help prevent Alzheimer's. For many, one of the best gut supporters is bone broth, my favourite way to incorporate bone broth into my weekly meals is with homemade soups, making Mexican black beans with beef broth and using Chicken broth as my liquid for cooking rice.
This month is special as we celebrate our mothers, 2/3 of Alzheimer's patients are women, this is no joke, someone gets diagnosed with Alzheimer's every 60 seconds. They are our mothers, daughters, grandmothers, friends and nieces. It's critical to get the word out there on Alzheimer's prevention and I believe Two Little F Words is a great start to raising awareness to not only Alzheimer's but Alzheimer's prevention.
