HOW TO USE THE YONI TONIC:
INGREDIENTS & THE HEALTH BENEFITS:
Shatavari: translated from Sanskrit to “curer of a hundred diseases”, and used in Ayurveda medicine for many years, shatavari has a long list of benefits. shatavari may help with balancing hormones, especially relieving women of symptoms associated with PCOS, premenstrual syndrome, menopause and infertility. It may also aid in soothing the digestive tract, improving the health of the digestive system. In addition, the 3 main sources of antioxidants in shatavari are racemofuran, asparagamine A and racemosol, which can prevent cellular damage that causes disease.
Maca: commonly used in Peruvian cooking for good reason. used for both culinary and medicinal purposes, maca powder is a superfood that just about everyone needs in their life! this root may act as an aphrodisiac, balance estrogen levels, reduce fatigue, minimize heat flashes in menopausal women, increase fertility levels in men AND is an adaptogen that supports the body when under stress. we use gelatinized maca, which makes the nutrients in maca much more bioavailable. no, gelatinized does not mean it contains gelatin, it simply refers to the cooking process which involves heating and pressurizing the root, then drying and grinding into a powder. gelatinized maca contains 4 x the amount of iron and zinc compared to raw. wow!
lucuma: often used as a low glycemic sweetener, lucuma has a butterscotch-like flavour as is loaded with antioxidants that support skin health. Containing both soluble and insoluble fiber, lucuma is beneficial to overall gut health.
Beetroot powder: made from dried and ground beets, this superfood powder is incredibly nutrient dense, as it is a source of vitamin C, manganese, potassium, iron, folate, and amino acids such as arginine, glycine, alanine, and betaine. beets are a natural source of nitrates which convert to nitric acid in the body, a molecule that dilates blood vessels in the body improving circulation and heart health. this beautiful bright red powder may also support liver health.
Ginger: loved in both the culinary and medicinal world, ginger is great for combatting inflammation, nausea and indigestion. ginger is a source of quercetin, magnesium and vitamin B6.
True cinnamon: containing the plant compound cinnamaldehyde (responsible for cinnamons strong aromatic presence), this active constituent thought to be why cinnamon may be responsible for boosting metabolism. cinnamon also helps to control blood glucose levels which may be helpful to those with type II diabetes. cinnamon may have anti-fungal/microbial properties, and is loaded with polyphenols antioxidants. cinnamon is a source of calcium.
Love: as famously sang by The Beatles, all you need is love. love is an essential nutrient for optimal health, as it directly benefits both our mental and physical health in many ways. we at Heirloom aim to always make you feel nourished with love.
